Porcelain veneers are custom-made and custom-fitted to each individual patient. As a result, it is difficult to perceive a difference between your real tooth and the dental veneer.

The Porcelain Veneer Procedure: To apply traditional porcelain veneers, Dr. Bullock will reshape your teeth to minimize the added thickness of the porcelain veneer. Once the preparation is complete, the porcelain veneer is bonded to your tooth with an adhesive material. Remember, because a portion of your natural teeth are reshaped in preparation for veneers, this process is not reversible. If conditions in your mouth are suitable, Dr. Bullock may recommend DURAthin veneers, a type of dental veneer which may require minimal or even no preparation of the teeth. This procedure could be considered reversible.

Following the procedure, you can eat the same foods and use your teeth just like you are used to. Porcelain veneers, though strong and durable, should still be maintained with proper oral hygiene. Brushing and flossing will help maintain a healthy smile.
